Why MedWagon works:
Movement is essential to children's physical and emotional health. But children with special medical needs often require intravenous or nutritional support, which limits their mobility. Many hospitals
have devised methods of transporting young patients with IV poles, yet health care professionals and parents frequently find these methods cumbersome, inconvenient and potentially dangerous.
MedWagon
helps move these children safely and easily. The company's unique wagon design incorporates an integrated IV pole, stability, removable sides for patient access, plastic material that can be disinfected repeatedly and simple
disassembly for storage purposes.
Angie Potter RN, BSN is the president and founder of MedWagon.
As a pediatric nurse at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis and as the mother of six, she has experienced first-hand the problems associated with transporting sick children. The MedWagon allows pediatric staff members and parents to move children efficiently and comfortably and to enable children to overcome their physical limitations, achieve greater freedom. Angie developed MedWagon in collaboration with local manufacturers. Her wagon has been extremely well received by physicians, nurses, parents and children - who all know that mobility makes a difference!
MedWagon has been certified as a women owned business in the state of Missouri!
