ST. LOUIS–Pediatric nurse Angie Potter knew that getting sick children out of their hospital rooms was an unwieldy problem because IV poles often interfered with transportation. Potter invented the MedWagon, a red plastic wagon that incorporates an IV pole and guard rails, to allow children to be transported safely for recreational breaks during their stay at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Potter markets the wagons nationwide.
